Description
Embark on an unforgettable 4-day trekking adventure on Mount Meru, the second-highest peak in Tanzania. This trek features stunning landscapes, diverse wildlife, and an exhilarating ascent through lush forests and alpine meadows.
On day one, start your trek with a guided walk through Arusha National Park, encountering giraffes, elephants, and antelopes. Spend the night at Miriakamba Hut.
On day two, hike to Saddle Hut, with breathtaking views of the crater and surrounding landscapes. Rest and prepare for a summit attempt.
Day three includes an early morning climb to the summit to catch the sunrise over Kilimanjaro. Descend to Saddle Hut for lunch, then proceed to Miriakamba Hut.
On day four, complete the descent through lush trails back to the park gate, where your adventure concludes.

Day 1 Arrival & Trek to Mikiaramba Hut
Your trekking adventure begins with a drive from Arusha to the Momella Gate of Arusha National Park. After completing registration, you will start your trek accompanied by an armed ranger to ensure safety.
The trail takes you through dense forests teeming with wildlife, such as colobus monkeys and various bird species. Arrive at Miriakamba Hut (2,514 meters) for dinner and an overnight stay, enjoying the tranquil atmosphere of the mountain.
Day 2 Trek to Saddle Hut
After breakfast, begin your trek to Saddle Hut (3,570 meters). The trail becomes steeper as you ascend, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes and Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance.
Upon reaching Saddle Hut, enjoy some rest and lunch. In the afternoon, you have the option to take a short hike to Little Meru (3,820 meters) for stunning sunset views. Return to Saddle Hut for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Day 3Summit Accent & back to Mikiaramba Hut
Your day starts early with a midnight departure for the summit. Trek under the starlit sky to Rhino Point (3,800 meters) and continue to the summit of Mount Meru at Socialist Peak (4,566 meters).
Witness the sunrise over Mount Kilimanjaro and the surrounding plains, creating a truly unforgettable experience. Afterward, descend back to Saddle Hut for breakfast, and then continue to Miriakamba Hut for your final night on the mountain.
Day 4 Descend to Momella Gate & Departure
On your final day, enjoy a leisurely descent from Miriakamba Hut to Momella Gate, passing through lush vegetation and spotting wildlife along the way. This is a perfect time to reflect on your adventure and take in the last views of the mountain.
At the gate, you will receive a certificate of achievement and bid farewell to the team. Return to Arusha with cherished memories of your 4 Days Mount Meru Trekking Adventure.
