Your private honeymoon journey begins in Arusha. Your Msonge Tours & Safaris team collects you from your hotel or agreed meeting point before you travel towards Tarangire National Park.

As the city fades behind you, northern Tanzania begins to reveal itself through rural landscapes, open plains and changing vegetation. Enter Tarangire and begin your first private game drive.

The park is particularly famous for its elephants and enormous baobab trees, but the experience extends far beyond these icons. Your guide may help you discover giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, antelopes, monkeys and many bird species, with predator sightings possible depending on conditions.

Later, arrive at your selected accommodation. As the sun begins to lower, enjoy an optional private sundowner experience. Your first evening is deliberately unhurried. Dinner follows at your lodge or camp.

Depending on the season, water availability and wildlife movements, your day may include encounters with elephant herds, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo and a range of antelope species.

Birdlife is another important part of Tarangire, particularly for couples who enjoy photography and nature. Enjoy a picnic lunch or return to your accommodation depending on the day's plan.

Later, return to your lodge for relaxation. A private dinner or special honeymoon arrangement can be organized according to your selected property.

After breakfast, depart Tarangire and continue towards the Ngorongoro highlands. The landscape gradually rises and changes as you approach the volcanic region.

Your journey provides an opportunity to see another side of northern Tanzania beyond the national parks themselves.

Arrive at your selected accommodation near Ngorongoro. The remainder of the day is intentionally slower. Enjoy the property, the surroundings and time together.

For honeymoon couples, a special dinner or private celebration can be arranged depending on the accommodation. Tomorrow, you descend into the crater.

Wake early and travel towards the Ngorongoro Crater. Descend onto the crater floor for a private wildlife experience.

The crater contains a remarkable combination of grasslands, wetlands and woodland, supporting a wide variety of wildlife. Your guide will look for lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas and other species.

The endangered black rhinoceros may also be encountered, although wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed.

After your crater exploration and picnic lunch, continue towards Serengeti. As the road leaves the highlands, the landscape begins to open dramatically. Arrive at your Serengeti accommodation and settle into the wilderness.

The Serengeti is a dynamic environment. Wildlife distribution changes according to rainfall, season, food availability and location. Your guide will therefore plan the day around the conditions rather than promising a predetermined list of animals.

Depending on the area and season, you may encounter lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, hyenas and, with luck, leopards.

For your honeymoon, we can incorporate a special breakfast, picnic or sunset experience where permitted. Return to your accommodation after the day's exploration. Tonight is about enjoying the feeling of being far away from ordinary life.

Couples interested in photography may prefer slower wildlife observation. Couples focused on predators may want to spend more time in areas where predator activity is being reported. Couples simply wanting a relaxed honeymoon can enjoy a later start, scenic picnic and sunset experience.

The day belongs to you. Return to your camp or lodge for your final Serengeti evening.
